Over the first two preseason games Dak Prescott’s numbers have been near perfect.
His numbers through two games are exceptional: 22-of-27 for 338 yards, six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing), 0 interceptions.
In last saturdays Pre Season Opener vs the Rams he only threw two inclompetions and those were drops . In Fridays home preseason opener vs the Dolphins in Tony Romos debut, he took over after two series and played to the end of the third quarter, leading a combination of offensive starters and reserves on four scoring drives.
He threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more and found Dez Bryant once again for the second week in a row.
On the cowboys third touch down Prescott did a little bit of everything. After throwing a perfect thrown pass to Brice Butler for 58 yards, he placed a great back shoulder fade to Butler for a one yard touchdown in the endzone.
Prescott ran for two touchdowns, but his mobility neutralized the Dolphins’ pass rush all night. In a two-minute situation late in the first half, he escaped pressure to his left and found Lucky Whitehead for an 18-yard completion.
Everything has seemingly gone right for the 23-year-old quarterback: even an interception on a misjudged throw in the second quarter was wiped out by a roughing the passer penalty. Four plays later, he scrambled 20 yards for a touchdown.
Have the cowboys seen enough from Prescott as their number 2 quarterback behind . I think so. He doesnt play like a rookie and he is very humble. He is poised, calm and willing to learn. SO the future is bright when Tony Romo retires which wont be forawhile and god forbid should go down this year the cowboys will be in good hands.
