WEEK 7 – Bye Week
Cowboys 29, Eagles 23 in OT
What can I say, the Cowboys keep rolling.
This time they do it at home in dramatic fashion, OVERTIME.
On a night before a National Audience, Sunday Night Football. On a night that QB Dak Prescott faced one of the best Defensive fronts in the NFL. I don’t know about you guys, but I was on the edge of my seat the entire game. Both teams came out intense; you could feel the intensity of the game through the television, I could only imagine how it felt if I was actually there in the Stadium. The Eagles must have BLITZED young Prescott the entire game. The Cowboy Defense was just as intense and was up for the challenge going against the Eagles own Rookie passer, Carson Wintz. The Boys Defense didn’t’ skip a beat. Everyone played their position and helped one another, they rallied to the ball. Outside of a few runs by Eagles running back Darren Sproles the Cowboys Defense never gave up “the big play”.
The play of Prescott was up in down the first half but he managed to pull it together in the 2nd half. The Eagle Defense tried to confuse the young Quarterback the entire game. The Eagle Defense was able to turn Prescott over right before halftime with an interception, which could have put the cowboys up 17-13, but instead the Eagles went into halftime with at 13-10 lead. The second half was just as intense as the first. The team traded touchdowns and field goals and with a little over 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter, Prescott found Dez Bryant on a 22 yard pass to tie the game at 23.
In the Overtime Dallas won the toss and drove the ball down field and on a gutsy 4th and 1yard play early in overtime. Coach Jason Garrett called a QB Draw, which he could have easily settled for a field goal, but that would have given the Eagles a chance with the ball and win the game with a Touchdown of their own. Dak Prescott, who had a up and down game, made a couple mistakes throughout the game but never let the game get away from him. Dak was able to lead the Cowboy offense to the game winning touchdown when he found Team Captain, Tightend Jason Witten on a 5 yard scramble pass. To be honest Cowboy Nation, it looked Tony Romo-esk.
Incredible win for our Cowboys who are now 6-1 atop of the NFC East.
Cowboy-up COWBOY NATION!!!
