Discounts and Freebies for Dallas Cowboys Veterans this Veterans Day

I retired in June of this year after serving 23 years of active duty service in the United States Navy. As a tribute to my fellow veterans in our “Legacy Group” I wanted to make sure you were well informed on some businesses who are thanking us for our service. Check out these great deals.Please scroll through, and also share this with other Veterans you know so they too can take advantage.

A number of local businesses and restaurants are offering deals for military veterans in observance of the special day. Some of those businesses are also including active-duty members of the military and their families.

It is also important to note, this is a national list provided to us. You may want to call ahead to make sure the establishment in this area are honoring the same offer.

All Veterans are included no matter what team you’re a fan of.

Applebee’s – In honor of their services, veterans and active duty military get a free meal.

Baskin-Robbins – For every ice cream scoop sold on Veterans Day, the brand will make an $.11 donation to the U.S.O..

Chicken Salad Chick – Vets can munch on a free Original Chick meal and beverage. The meal includes a chicken salad scoop or sandwich, side, pickle, and cookie.

Chili’s – Veterans, retirees, and active duty personnel can choose a free entree from a select menu on November 11.

Chipotle – From 3 p.m. – close, veterans, active duty members, and military spouses can buy one small burrito, bowl, or salad and get one free.

Chuck E Cheese – With a Uniformed Service I.D. or Common Access Card, current and former military personnel can gobble down a free personal pizza

Cracker Barrel – Veterans can celebrate the holiday with a free Double Chocolate Fudge Coca Cola Cake.

Denny’s – Active, inactive, and retired military personnel can build a free Grand Slamfrom 5 a.m. – 12 p.m. The breakfast includes a choice of four items, such as buttermilk pancakes, eggs, turkey bacon, sausage links, and english muffins.

Golden Corral – Veterans and active duty personnel will be honored with a free meal and beverage.

Hooters – This Veterans Day, diners with proof of service can choose a free entree from an exclusive Veteran’s Day menu. The menu includes wings, burgers, sandwiches, and other Hooters favorites.

Home Depot – This year, Home Depot is honoring Veterans Day with two specials:

A free Build a Veteran’s Day Jet workshop for kids ages 5 -12. The event runs from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., and includes a craft, certificate of achievement, workshop apron, and commemorative pin while supplies last.

A 10% discount on purchases.

IHOP – In honor of the holiday, veterans and active duty members get a stack of Red, White and Blue pancakes. Proof of service required.

Krystal – At participating locations, veterans can grab a free sausage biscuit

Longhorn Steakhouse – Guests with proof of service can score a free steakhouse appetizer or dessert, plus 10% off for fellow diners.

Lowe’s – On November 11, all veterans and their family can receive 10% off purchases.

Marco’s Pizza– Marco’s Pizza will host free pizza parties at local VFWS, VA medical centers, and American Legions across the country. Parties will include special gifts, medical bill assistants, and plane tickets for family visits.

Meineke – Vets and active duty personnel can receive a free basic oil change with proof of service.

National Park Service – All visitors receive free admission to National Parks.

O’Charley’s – This November 11, Veterans and active duty members will be treated to a free meal.

Olive Garden – Current and former service members can choose a free meal from a select menu. Valid for dine in only; proof of service required.

Outback Steakhouse – This year, all current and former service members with I.D. can enjoy two steakhouse specials:

A free Bloomin’ Onion with a choice of beverage.

15% off the check for military personnel and their families from November 12 – December 31.

Rack Room Shoes – In honor of Veterans Day, shoppers with valid military I.D. can take 10% off their purchase.

Red Lobster – Veterans and active duty military can visit to get a free appetizer or dessert on November 10 and 11.

Red Robin – With a military I.D., vets and active duty members can sup on a Red’s Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Fries.

Ruby Tuesday – Veterans and active duty personnel can begin their meal with a free appetizer on November 11.

Shoney’s – This year, vets and active duty military can chow down on a free All American Burger.

Sports Clips – At participating locations, veterans and current service members can score a free haircutwith proof of service.

Walgreens – This Veterans Day, customers with Walgreens Balance Rewards cards and valid military I.D. can take 20% off all eligible purchases.

Westgate Resorts – On Veterans Day, guests can get 25% off their rooms. In addition, military personnel and their families can apply for a free vacation package. The first 1,000 applicants will receive a complimentary three-day, two-night vacation for up to four people at Westgate Town Center Resort from May 5-7, 2017.

Texas Roadhouse – Veterans and active duty members can dig into a free lunch on the holiday.

Zoe’s Kitchen – Customers with military I.D. can dine on a free Mediterranean-inspired meal this Veterans Day.

From  my family to yours, thank you for your dedicated service to this great nation. We have all made sacrifices, some unfortunately paid the ultimate one. Take care of our Veterans. Take care of our own.
