Zeke set to return to 2017 season with mother’s daring goal in mind
As we approach the 2017 NFL Draft, and less than 24 hours until the regular season schedule releases, the hype is real.
Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott just had one of the best seasons for a rookie RB in NFL history. In 15 games, Elliott ran for 1,631 yards and 15 touchdowns.
The yardage put him third all-time for a rookie running back (behind only Erick Dickerson and George Rogers) while the touchdown total ranked second (Dickerson).
With 1,631 yards Ezekiel Elliott was the NFL’s leading rusher in 2016. Not only that, now he holds the new Dallas Cowboys rookie rushing record after breaking Tony Dorsett’s 39-year-old record of 1,007 yards set in 1977.
During the interview, Elliot’s mother made a bold goal for her son for this 2017 season.
