3 reasons CANVA is perfect for content creators
TRIPLE THREAT
They say image is everything. For over a decade, Canva has been my go-to tool for creating social media content. In this Saturday Creator HUB, I want to share with you three reasons why it’s the perfect tool for beginner creators. All images here were created with CANVA.
The best advice I received early on was to get my own art. When I began blogging on Official America’s Team in 2017, I was searching for images on Google. Now I create them. The Dallas Cowboys had the triplets in the 1990s. Having three effective skill sets is the BIG goal.

Last week, I shared why STREAMYARD is best for beginner video content creators. CANVA and STREAMYARD go hand in hand. CANVA is also best for beginners. Combine them both, and you’re two-thirds away from becoming a triple threat.
Now that social media platforms like Facebook are paying creators rent, it’s essential to have the right tools for the job. Combining STREAMYARD and CANVA is crucial. You control your online image. Nobody else. Have a strategy with these three reasons.

1. BLOG ART
WordPress blogs require daily maintenance. Now with AI, anyone can be a creator and create a website in minutes. Times have changed. When I began blogging in 2016 on Official America’s Team, I was a rookie.
Before I found CANVA, I knew a NINERS fan named Edgar in California. The same guy who told me to get my own art referred me to him—an example of word-of-mouth marketing. He provided all the custom graphics and created the OAT logo with my creative inputs.
After setting up my CANVA account and exploring the platform in 2017, I discovered the specific image sizing requirements for various posts, pages, and social media platforms. Before long, I was creating my own blog art for OAT. In the correct size and formats.

2. REEL STRATEGY
One thing I love most about Canva is that when I create a vertical video, I can share it across three different social media platforms. When YouTube introduced the Shorts algorithm in 2020, I arrived late in 2023. Better late than never, right?
Once I woke up to Reels between Facebook & Instagram, I realized Shorts were all the same format. I went to work on YouTube, uploading first and taking advantage of the algorithm push. I have been a proponent of vertical video since the introduction of IGTV in 2018.
That’s when I dialed in on uploading each vertical video I created in CANVA under the REEL format. Remember, becoming an effective content creator is part of the process. My REEL strategy is paying me now on Facebook in 2025. Create your REEL strategy with CANVA.

3. VIDEO GROWTH
When I began blogging, video was nowhere near my creative wheelhouse. I was initially banned from YouTube, though. I’m part of the reason it’s challenging to reach 4,000 watch hours to qualify for monetization. Now I combine Canva and Streamyard for efficiency.
CANVA is the perfect tool for video creators. When I joined the platform around 2017, it was primarily image-based. Since then, the platform has also gained AI capabilities for creators. I create more video content with CANVA, especially when combining it with Streamyard.
From my rookie season in 2016 to now, 2025, my growth as a content creator has enabled me to create images and videos not only for my blog but also for all my projects across all my BIG3 channels. Expansion and growth are always on our Saturday agenda at Creator HUB.

BIG3 CONCLUSION
A decade is a long time on any platform. But if you’re not willing to dedicate at least 10 years to your craft, will you see any results? I know Facebook creators are getting faster direct deposits into their accounts each month with platform monetization.
Since my rookie year, I have now become the locker room OG. That’s why I created this FREE Creator HUB to share tips & tricks for your growth each week. I wish I knew a guy like me when I was a rookie. I have ten years’ worth of blood, sweat, and tears with CANVA.

Next week, I will delve into the MEME culture and explore how memes dominate social media. Canva is an excellent platform for creating your next meme. First-time reader here today? Be sure to download the Patreon app and join my free Creator Hub community.
Becoming a triple-threat content creator is a work in progress. It takes sacrifice, work, commitment, and discipline. Nobody taught me; I learned it on my own. Now I want to teach others how to extract currency from the internet here each Saturday. Take it from a veteran.
