Star Mobile One home opener 88 Behavior with Jamie O’Pelt
Star Mobile One 88 Behavior
In September of 2024, I flew to Dallas for the home opener per usual. Clearly, on my 88 Behavior: first things first. Have lunch at Playmakers with Jamie O’Pelt. The architect behind Star Mobile One. When I created OAT in 2016, this was my vision. Get the stories from fans to share with our fanbase. Housing them all in one Facebook group, OAT, like Jamie.
I followed Jamie for a couple of years before reaching out to finally collaborate. When he agreed to pull up at Playmakers in The Colony at the time it was a done deal. Killing two birds with one stone, The Playmaker would be proud. When I think Superfans in our fanbase, Jamie is right up there. Not becuase of the amount of money it cost to construct either. It’s his time invested for a good cause.

“In 2016, I began my search & ended up on the Factory Five Racing website – the 1933 Hot Rod kit that they offered seemed to check ALL of the boxes for me. I would be able to start with ALL new components, they supplied a (750) page build manual, & I also had the option to attend a (3) Day Build School – I was sold!”
When we hopped in the bucket to head to The Star in Frisco, I learned my favorite Dallas Cowboys of all time, Drew Pearson, already signed! This was cool because it’s in front of the passenger seat on his dash. Take a look at all the others he has on record on his website, Star Mobil One. It’s one thing to build a car from scratch, but having over 100 NFL players sign this automobile is amazing.

The Lone Star Car
Since 2016, I’ve learned fans show their love for America’s Team differently. Take Jamie O’Pelt of Haslet, Texas. The car is a Factory Five Racing 1933 Ford Model 40 Hot Rod replica. It was started in January of 2017 & completed in November of 2019. Not to mention, over 100 former and current Dallas Cowboys players have autographed this beauty. Fans love to see it roll up every time.
Jamie has traveled 38k miles in the car & attended over (300) Community Car Shows, Local Charity & Fund-Raising events, Celebrity Golf Tournaments, Player Signings & Parades! Many of those appearances benefit local Youth Organizations, Community Hospitals, Victims of Domestic Violence, Special-Needs Children, and Fallen Officers & First Responders.

In addition, Hospice Care Centers, Senior Care Facilities, Toys for Tots, Cancer Awareness & Treatment, & Animal Rescues & Adoptions – it is one way that he is able to give back to the community that he has called home for his entire life!
His efforts went unnoticed, and he was nominated by the Ford Hall of Fans in 2021 by none other than “THE MANSTER” himself. Oh, and MANSTER was actually the first Dallas Cowboys player to sign his dash by request. Be careful what you ask for, Cowboys fans. You just might get it.
No Jersey No Problem
When you hear the term Superfan, most of us think of all those we see on camera during the NFL Draft each year. From Crazy Ray to Carolyn Price the #1 Fan, our fanbase has the most authentic diehards. They can show you better than they can tell you, too. Sometimes wearing a jersey is’nt enough in the case of Star Mobile One. No jersey, no problem.
This is precisely why I created my new podcast on Built Different Group, FACEBOOK FANATIC. Many NFL fans see Jamie on social media and think this guy is kissing the Cowboys’ ass becuase he can afford it. Not so. He’s created a legacy fans will talk about for years to come. Creating a legacy is important to me also. To document fans like Jamie, you can Google. Providing you with the only blog dedicated to Cowboys fans and their story.
First-time reader? Please be sure to SUB to the only blog on the internet dedicated to Cowboys fans like Jamie today. This will ensure you get my next story in your inbox moving forward. Finally, thanks to a small group of Dallas Cowboys fans, this blog stays online and operational. What will a Cowboys fan build next, a spaceship? Well, beam me up, Scotty. I’ve got work to do. See you next story!
