3 things I learned in 2025 as a content creator

I WAS WRONG

Admitting you’re wrong takes courage. This year taught me three valuable lessons. I will be bringing in the New Year in Atlanta. The 2028 Super Bowl will be hosted at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. As I stated previously, I don’t mind being wrong.

I love it when I’m wrong and my team benefits. Growing as a content creator can help increase your bottom line. I encourage you to reflect on 2025. What did you learn that you can apply in 2026? Knowledge is not power. Applied knowledge is.

After the 2025 season it will be time for Will McClay to enter the chat with “Position Predictions 2.0.”

BAD BOY DECOY

Schotty’s offense is vastly different from former HC Mike McCarthy’s. When the Cowboys traded for GP3, I was certain it was a DECOY move on the JONES part. GP is on a one-year deal, and his agent is David Mulugheta.

Why would DAK target him 137 times for 1,429 YDS and 9 TDs? My prediction was that he would not reach 100 targets or 1K YDS. I was wrong. DAK and this Cowboys offense finished second overall with 6,663 total yards behind the Rams’ 6,709 total yards.

Now the question is how much will Jerry need to pay GP3 to retain his services in 2026? Will he get the Franchise Tag? This is a developing story now, this off-season. GP3 finished the #3 WR overall in the NFL this season, according to Statmuse. CD Lamb finished 10th.

CD LAMB BUST

Before the NFL season kicked off, I predicted that CD would finish as the #1 WR in PPR formats. Boy, was I wrong again, thanks GP3. He did finish with over 1K YDS on 117 Targets with only 3 TDs. Not the exact definitoon of 88 Behavior.

He finished as the #22 overall WR in PPR formats on the ESPN platform. Thanks to an injury, this opened the door for GP3 to enter the chat with more opportunites. Lamb finshed with 1,077 total YDS, which puts him in company with PLAYMAKER.

Lamb is the fifth player in franchise history with at least 1,000 yards in five of his first six seasons. Definitely not a bust, but finishing as the #22 WR in PPR formats was a clear MISS.

DISCIPLINE MATTERS

This is a tough pill to swallow. During Mike McCarthy’s five-year tenure, the Cowboys averaged 114 penalties a season. In Schotty’s first year, he led the league in penalties with 133, according to Statmuse. Is the DISCIPLINE culture really shifting in Dallas?

Every NFL team faces 4 opponents each week. In a season where we witnessed several questionable calls that decided the outcomes of games, the Cowboys’ self-inflicted wounds would prevail, yet again.

I understand that culture can’t shift overnight. Heading into year two, SCHOTTY has to reduce this number. It definitely contributed to our win-loss column. I was right that SCHOTTY needed to WAVE the FLAG, but wrong about his culture shift regarding DISCIPLINE.

Brian Schottenheimer lead the NFL in 2025 with 133 total team penalties.

CONCLUSION

I’m excited about what 2026 has in store for the Dallas Cowboys. We have money, picks, and new talent to mold into this new culture in Frisco, TX. With a few shifts, definitely with this team, the sky is the limit this fall.

I encourage every content creator reading this to look back at 2025. What did you learn? Reflection is important to perfecting your craft. Each week, you can expect to pick up more FREE GAMES in my Creator Hub collection this year.
