How I turned my social media HOBBY into a BUSINESS

Become a GOAL DIGGER

What’s the difference between a DREAM and a GOAL? A written plan.

This Saturday, I want you to understand the importance of planning with content creation. For years, I never had a PLAN. Here’s how I planned my content strategy for 2026 in two weeks.

Start writing. Just start. That’s HOW you begin to PLAN. Last year this time, I was putting the finishing touches on my 2025 content strategy plan in CANVA. It’s that time of year again.

My content calendar runs from April to April. Built around the NFL annual schedule of important dates found on the 2026 NFL Operations website. A daily, weekly, and monthly written content strategy equals GOAL DIGGER. Fail to plan, plan to fail. Sound familiar?

Circle The Date

The NFL is a global sport. Shortly after the Super Bowl in February, the NFL Combine commences, sliding into March. Then in April, there’s the draft. In May, the schedule is released. My 2026 social media content calendar will be published on CANVA on March 31st.

What’s the GOAL? To grow my community of NFL content creators on Patreon in my Creator HUB. I serve Cowboys fans through my content, but my real calling is to help other creators increase their bottom lines each year.

The IGLOO plug; SuperCowboy & Chill at your next tailgate

Randomly posting on social media daily does not define a content creator. Having a PLAN on WHEN and WHAT to post is the key. For example, the last time the Cowboys played in Mexico was in August of 2001. Circle the date.

When the NFL Schedule gets released in May, we will learn whether the game at Estadio Azteca is a preseason or regular-season game. I know SuperCowboy will be there. The SuperCowboy Show is aimed at these Mexican Cowboys fans south of the border.

Business Plan

How did I turn my social media HOBBY into a BUSINESS? Patreon is one example of a revenue generating stream (RGS). One of my supporters recently asked me a valid question. Which platform should they support me on the most, Facebook or Patreon?

Great Question. All of them. Why? Each of my platforms offers unique content and community. A HOBBY is defined as an activity done regularly in one’s leisure time for pleasure. Social media is where creators often come into their own, like me.

I treat my content like a JOB now.

3 things I learned creating REELS in 2025

You can turn your passion for posting about your favorite NFL team into literal cents. Now that Facebook pays you for switching to Professional Mode, the content Wild West has begun. Taking your HOBBY seriously and backing it with a written plan can increase your bottom line.

After developing my first calendar in 2025, I plan to update it every year to include important dates for Dallas Cowboys fans who like to travel. My 2026 social media calendar will publish before April 1st this year.

What’s the difference between a DREAM and a GOAL? A written plan.

Conclusion

Anyone on social media can turn their HOBBY of posting content into a BUSINESS with a PLAN. Not waking up each day wondering what to post. Riding the trends, waiting for the next one. No, set the trends and watch others follow you instead. That requires a plan and execution strategy.

This year marks a decade for me, and to think that only a year ago, I began planning. See the differenc a year can make? Between three monetized platforms, I earned a total of $15,914.49 in 2025. BEST YEAR YET. My GOAL is to double that this year with my new 2026 PLAN.
