How to create Facebook events to build your community & brand

DIGITAL REACH

Facebook Events are designed to help individuals and businesses plan, promote, and manage gatherings by creating a centralized hub for details, RSVPs, and updates. I love Facebook events. Here’s how to use events to build community in 2026 this Saturday.

You can use events on either your personal or business Facebook profiles. I began using events in 2022 on Built Different Group. After getting accepted into Facebook’s Content Moentization Program in 2024 my personal profile now benefits from this event strategy.

You can too. The learning is in the doing. 88 Behavior is defined as connecting Cowboys fans off social media at events. Both your personal and business profiles can benefit from events. It’s a great way to theme each event digitally or in person with your group or community.

As of 2025, Facebook has approximately 3.07 billion monthly active users (MAUs) worldwide. The platform continues to dominate global social media, with roughly 2.1 billion daily active users (DAUs). Build community on the world’s largest social media content platform.

LIVE EVENTS

Creating Facebook events has become my unique value proposition. You can leverage that skill set if it’s yours too by using Facebook events. Simply go to your “more” tab on your profiles. Then select “events.” Then tap the “create event” button to your right.

Here’s why I love Streamyard for streaming podcast’s. When I create a future episode it autmatically creates the event for me on Built Different Group. If you’re just starting out you will need to create the event yourself. Streamyard helps create your Facebook events.

After creating your event now you have a few prompts to help complete set up. Like share it to a group, start the discussion with a post, and invite your followers and supporters to attend. LIVE events bring members together in person. Building community two fold.

I uses Facebook events for both podcast’s on Streamyard and LIVE events like my Great Alaskan Fishing Trip 3.0 this July. Digital events can be set up for LIVE streaming in the event itself. As the “Cowboys Unifier” my favorite’s LIVE events. Thank’s “Cowboy Kev.”

BOTTOM LINE

This June will be a decade for me in these Facebook trenches. My mission is to help other content creators, specifically veterans now. Not only to increase your bottom line, but share what strategies are working for me and hopefully you too.

The only way you can learn more about Facebook events is by creating your first event. The learning is in the doing. Faith without works is dead. Josh Orozco was the only member of my group that showed up. It all starts with one person at your first Facebook event like below.
