My definition of a DAWG in the NFL

DAWG DEFINED

In high school, I had a friend named Eric who always said, “What’s up, DOG?” I’m sure most of you have heard this term used as a compliment among friends.

That’s the beautiful thing about the English language.

The same word can have different meanings depending on the context. Eric was my DAWG on the basketball court in Thrall, TX, in the early 90s. Now, we hear that NFL players use the term DAWG to define players who play at the highest level.

I bet you came here because the words DAWG and DAK on the cover photo triggered you. I’m good like that. Don’t sweat the technique. I’m really a DAWG with this Cowboys content.

Who will be the next DAWG to come from this DRAFT in April? What is the difference between a DOG and a DAWG? A big difference. One is an animal, and the other is a beast.

Stephen Jones is on record stating that the Cowboys’ goal is to get a quarterback this April. In addition to being “SELECTIVELY AGGRESSIVE” this season, does that mean the “DRAFT WHISPERER” will hunt for a DAWG in Green Bay?

If you don’t watch college football like me, check out Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss. This kid is an absolute QB, DAWG. Are the Cowboys willing to risk it all to trade up for QB in this draft after paying Dak all that money? Should RUSH or LANCE take their services to another team?

What the Cowboys do or don’t do during FREE AGENCY FRENZY in March will help clarify the picture. However, I don’t see them signing a veteran like Aaron Rogers from the Jets during FREE AGENCY. By the way, DART is on the DALLAS DAWG RADAR. Hint, hint.

The Cowboys need to draft about 6-7 DAWGS in April. A total of 22 players will hit the open market this March. Many of them will take their services to another team. Be ready to hear “SELECTIVELY AGGRESSIVE” with our FREE AGENTS in March. Not any other big names.

DAWG HUNT

Many Cowboys fans are done with DAK heading into year 10. We both know Will Grier will not be the answer if Trey and Cooper relocate this season.
