There’s ESPN’s top 5 WR, and then TDOF
Veteran Driven Content
It’s that time again. ESPN recently released their WR projections. This season, I will add context to my Patreon MCC 2027 membership regarding fantasy football. Most veterans play each season, and this year’s content will be veteran-driven discipline with a twist of ChatGPT.
Last season, I introduced my TDOF content here. When I first began playing fanatsy football in 2009, I was serving in the Navy. Intially my goal was to open a fantasy football-themed bar in WA State upon retirement in 2016. I was featured in the Seattle Times here in 2015.
The discipline in Dallas will determine Brian Schottenheimer’s new cultureMy accountability to a supporter as a creator means I share my rankings from last year. In addition, own my wrongs. I want you to feel that you support a transparent content creator. I’ve always said if I’m wrong and my team wins, WE still benefit. Make sense now?
Before I put the cart before the horse today, let’s examine ESPN’s recent WR top 5 projections for the 2026 season. One thing I noticed is that both last year and this year, CD Lamb made the top 5. This season, I think he will be #1 in PPR leagues. Why?
GP3 had 137 targets last season and ranked 5th overall. ESPN ranked him 13th this season.
TARGETS TO TOUCHDOWNS
My last season predictions were based on target potential. Despite CD missing three games due to injury last season, he was targeted 117 times. Only 20 less than GP3. Since GP3 signed the TAG, I now predict his targets will drastically reduce below 100 this season.
Why, when Jerry Jones was saying he needed to see more production early in this season from him? It’s called setting the table for a target reduction to use as leverage in negotiations with his agent, David Mulugheta, next summer. Pay attention on Patreon with me.
Getting the #1 target right out of five predictions last season is not exactly an image of efficiency. Lamb and Nabers fell victim to the INJURY OPPONENT. JJ and DRAKE finished 6th and 20th, respectively, in the 2025 target rankings.
Now is where I share my top 5 targeted WR for the 2026 season. Naturally, the most targeted WR’s land on the top 5 leaderboard. Should each of these 5 WR remain healthy all season here are my top 5 for the 2026 season.

If the cover photo confused you with my 2026 predictions, that image was for 2025. Saving the best for last is always imperative. Another thing that will impact GP3’s fewer targets will be Christian Parker’s 3-4 defense.
Think about it. If our defense plays well, there’s no need to put up so many points while playing from behind, as last season. This means the CD value is golden, which is why I think ESPN has him at five.

As for Egbuka, his volume increases in the Mike Evans’ absence. Chase will always be a top 5 draw when healthy. He’s consistent. Smith-Njigba and Sam Darnold are a thing again in Seattle. Finally, Jefferson benefits from the Kyler Murray effect. Sorry St Brown & Nakua.
My next edition of TDOF will feature the top 5 RB for 2026. I had two RBs in the top 5 last season. Today’s rankings were FREE. In addition to RB, I will include TE and D/ ST this summer. Join my MCC 2027 membership to get exclsuive access to all this summer. Why?
