TIME FLIES
Five years ago, the Dallas Cowboys hired Mike McCarthy. I almost bet Dez Bryant would return to America’s Team.
My dream didn’t come true.
Today, we celebrate Martin Luther King with the 47th President swearing into office.
A lot has happened over the last five years, not just with our Cowboys but in each of our lives.
News recently broke that the Cowboys are now looking to hire our (OC) Brian Schottenheimer as the new head coach in Dallas. I would have never dreamt of that happening. Then again, Jerry Jones does things that don’t make sense. He does do things that make cents.

Looking Forward
My first pick to hire as HC was Mike Vrable. But he went to the New England Patriots.
Typical Jerry, wait until the last minute. When will he learn to get out of his way?
The clock is ticking. Hopefully, we have a new Head Coach before the Resse’s Senior Bowl on February 1st.
Then again, the “Draft Whisperers” contract expires this May. You know, Will McClay, the guy who does all the GM duties behind the scenes while Jerry takes credit.
I wonder how Jerry feels watching two of his recent Coordinators battle it out in the NFC Championship game this week. Time flies.

Supporter Saturday
I will announce the 2024 GROTY on Supporter Saturday this Saturday. I hope to see you all there. We are almost through January 2025; before you know it, the NFL Draft will be held in April.
If you have a dream, do anything to make it come true. For example, one can dream that the Dallas Cowboys will win Super Bowl 60 at Levi’s Stadium in February 2026. Imagine what that would feel like after 30 years of failure.
Anything can happen. MLK dreamt about white and black NFL players holding hands to form a team and achieve their dreams each season. With the recent news of Schottenheimer breaking, the dream of a black head coach in Dallas with Deion is also fading to black.
I’ve always said I dont care what color our coaches or players are. Just get the DUBS! Then, get the CHIP. That simple. What does color have to do with the game or this country? Keep dreaming, Cowboys fans. Be thankful you woke up from your dream today.
