My thoughts the day after WK1 Eagles’ loss

Tie Breaker WK12? The Dallas Cowboys impressed me overall on the road in this SPITTING NFC East competition. We need to “GET DAK DUB” at AT&T WK2.

TEAM SPORT

Lots of blame to go around each quarter of the game. We can point fingers at a handful of players. Like CD, Sanders, Ferguson, etc. This is a team sport. This team will improve even more. I like how SCHOTTY had them ready to play. He couldn’t make the PLAYS himself.

The Cowboys’ Week 2 matchup features the Giants at AT&T Stadium for the season’s home opener. Yours truly will be there “Boots On Ground.” The BIG3 will be live again for Week 2.

The Cowboys can’t go DOWN 0-2 in the NFC East. At last year’s home opener, I left at halftime after our defense allowed the Saints to rack up 35 first-half points. Between BARKLEY and HURTS, they combine for 122 YDS and 3 TDS on the ground. No bueno.

I understand there were dropped balls. Pause. Dak might have made the best defensive play of the game after Miles dropped the baby in the Red Zone. DAK escaping without a couple of picks easily shifts the blame to CD. Not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 drops? That’s 84 Behavior.

NEW VS OLD GIANTS

Dak has not lost the GIANTS as QB1 in almost a decade. Since December 11, 2016, to be exact. KELZ shared with us on the BIG3 that “Last year Giant’s aren’t this year’s Giants.” I couldn’t agree more. The entire NFC East improved this offseason in the draft—research Sundays.

The G-MEN battle the COMMANDERS in DC this Sunday at 1 PM EST. I will be watching this game, doing my due diligence, and scouting for WK2 input. I will be in TEXAS for the game as I depart on September 11 from Seattle to DFW. Pull up and let ‘s talk about DEM BOYS!

Overall, I’m impressed with the Cowboys’ first outing under new HC Brian Schottenheimer—definitely room to improve. No moral victory here, that still counts as an NFCE loss. We can’t afford one WK2, either. I had the Eagles this round, WK12. It’s the BIG PAYBACK!
