Why “BAZOOKA JOE” Milton III is the PRESSURE Cooper Rush couldn’t apply to PRESCOTT

I think we can both agree that COOPER CLUTCH was a great QB2, even in Prescott’s absence, during his time in Dallas. However, RUSH was not that kind of pressure QB that “BAZOOKA JOE” Milton III will be when it comes to Dak Prescott this season. Why?

I’ve caught flak for towing the line on Dak Prescott the last nine years. Most Cowboys fans have the team on them and not in them. How will bashing my QB1 make my team better? It won’t. Why is Joe Milton III called “BAZOOKA JOE” anyway? He is known for his exceptional arm strength and can throw a football exceptionally far, likely over 90 yards.

Growing up, Bazooka Joe was my favorite chewing gum, mainly because of the taste. Beginning in 1953, Topps changed the packaging to include small comic strips with the gum, featuring the character “Bazooka Joe”. There are over 1,535 different “Bazooka Joe” comic-strip wrappers to collect. How will BAZOOKA JOE fit into Klayton Adams’ run game?

I’m going to be honest. Prescott has had two season-ending injuries in his career, now entering his 10th year. I feel much better with BAZOOK JOE’s arm and feet than I did with COOPER CLUTCH. Jerry Jones stole our future QB1 in waiting, and nobody batted an eye.

FIRE FROM UNDERNEATH

An old leadership strategy I employed among the Sailors I led in the Navy was lighting a fire under a poor-performing leader’s ass with fresh, hungry talent on the deckplates. I liken this to Jerral grabbing BAZOOKA JOE from New England before the draft. Essentially, Prescott knows he’s on the clock now this season—no more excuses.

Granted, if Prescott stays healthy, this Cowboys team will perform at a high level offensively this season. However, our coaching staff is sending RUN THE DAMN BALL smoke signals. I have to see for myself this August in Oxnard when I share it with my RAISE THE BAR members exclusively.

Who is QB WILL GRIER? Yeah, you remember when Prescott had the headset on the sideline calling plays, and GRIER had the best game of his career? That guy is also in this QB room. Like RUSH, however, I don’t see GRIER as a legitimate threat to QB1, given the talent and youth on BAZOOOK JOE. QB1 Prescott, QB2 Milton, and QB3 Grier will be our QB room.

I will still tow the line this season for QB1 Prescott. Should this potential 53-man roster remain healthy, I believe Prescott can get us deep into the postseason. That’s only if Matt Eberflus Defense can STOP THE DAMN RUN this season. I feel great knowing BAZOOKA JOE got next in Dallas. I mean, even DAK HATERS have to be happy about that.

IN CONCLUSION

We, Dallas Cowboys fans, have GOOD problems to worry about this season. Who will be the RB1/2 and WR3? With the addition of WR George Pickens and drafting two rookie RBs, training camp looks to be filled with offensive positional battles in the trenches this August.
